With its commitment to the Charter and the Dream of Auroville, the Art Service aims to ignite a flame of consciousness and joy in Auroville through the arts. Our mission is to nurture and support the arts in Auroville, and to create an integration of the arts with each other as well as with other disciplines, deep in this community, and in the world.
Vision: To create a community of children and adults who grow more conscious by living and learning together. We implement ways to practice the concept of Integral Education as defined by Mother and Sri Aurobindo where each part of the being is helped to grow into its full potential and the psychic being becomes the leader of one’s life and growth through an unending education.
Karen was born in the Netherlands in 1969 and was formed by spending her childhood surrounded by nature.
From an early age she has been fascinated by psychology and ways to give the human experience more meaning and bring lightness to life.
On this journey she was introduced to the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and finally brought to Auroville in 2015.
Karen experiences a natural connection to children and is enthusiastic to work with them in different ways, from cognitive to intuitive. She is assisting Aikya with the facilitation of the World Game, hoping to bring presence, a kind observing eye and – where needed – quiet encouragement.
Tamille takes care of cleanliness, order and much more.
Ymani is a Peacemaker, Practitioner for the 13 Laws of LionHearted Leadership™, Spiritual Mentor, Writer, Conservationist, International Facilitator of Workshops and Retreats for spiritual healing, and trip Guide for Wisdom of the Heart, journeys to the White Lions, at the Global White Lion Protection Trust in the heartlands of South Africa. She assists people globally in healing their hearts, embracing loving empowerment and re-membering their true selves and purpose. Through her gentle voice of experience and wisdom, conscious awareness and positive spirit, she provides a safe and sacred container for individuals ready to experience the life they have always envisioned.

THE PURPOSE of the Academy for Lionhearted Leadership™ is to address the most critically urgent crises of today, including politics, economics, education, religion, culture, value systems and, most fundamentally, sustainability. It does so, however, in an entirely unique heart-centered way. Although focused on modern innovative techniques, the Academy for Lionhearted Leadership™’s methods are founded on the most ancient indigenous knowledge systems, more relevant now than ever before.
