Presence Forest Walks

‘The vitality of the world depends, in part, on whether we turn our ears back to the Earth, hear both the beauty and brokenness of the living world, then act.

David George Haskell

Having lived for 25 years in a wonderful forest in Auroville, I got to feel the rhythm and subtleties of the forest. And still now, every time there is something new to discover in the outside nature or in my inside nature.

The forest helps me to consciously slow down and helps in refining my senses.

If, I then open to the living wisdom of Nature, a subtle air almost, a Presence of the living, I feel myself, my body bathing in a conscious light of joy and beauty.

We like to offer the possibility to discover yourself and to relax through forest walks. Usually we offer 3 walks of about 1h30’ including a sharing. Each walk  concentrates on mainly 2 senses, briefly touching upon the other senses. The walk is mainly in silence, and slow for most parts.

  • Walk with ears open and slowing down- touching the ground.
  • Walk with sight, touch and smell.
  • Walk with opening to the living presence, taste with tea ceremony- prerequisite of walk 1 and 2

We also have a chance to share at the end of each walk and we might end our forest bathing walk serial with a special tea ceremony to embody our experience and give gratitude to the forest or with a ceremonial fire.

We offer private walks or sessions for individuals, for couples, families, or public groups, both in-person and remotely guided.

Inspired by

– Integral Yoga, coming into Presence, conscious connection to the Divine within all.

– Shinrin-Yoku, also called Forest Bathing.

It is an approach where you take the time to reconnect with nature, with your body, your senses, feelings and emotions. It has recently become one of the well appreciated techniques used to improve your mental health and wellness in an easy, well accessible way, for anyone, anywhere around the world.
